The Pevonia RS2 Rosacea Facial Mask Treatment is a specialised calming facial designed to soothe, repair, and reduce visible symptoms of rosacea and chronic redness. Key Ingredients and Their Roles

Green Tea: Powerful anti-inflammatory that reduces redness and irritation.

Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate (Licorice Extract): Vasoconstricts to calm capillaries and diminish redness.

Olibanum (Frankincense): Deeply moisturizes, soothes inflammation and redness, provides anti-aging antioxidant benefits.

Rosa Gallica: Highly beneficial for sensitive skin due to its soothing, anti-inflammatory, and skin-balancing properties.

Laminaria Digitata: Provides rich minerals and antioxidants that soothe inflammation, restore natural moisture balance, and protect the skin barrier.

Lithothamnium Calcareum: Mineral-rich algae that hydrates, boosts circulation, and binds moisture.

Calcium Carbonate and Magnesium Trisilicate: Helps create the bi-thermal effect to induce warming and cooling phases.

Step-by-Step Treatment Protocol

Preparation

Seaweed Micro Powder:

Mix 1 tsp cold water with the green Seaweed Powder until smooth. Set aside.

RS2 Concentrate Ampoule:

Open, pour into a small cup, and set aside.

1.  Cleansing

a. Eye Area:

1.  Remove makeup using Eye Make-Up Remover.
2. Wipe eyelids with Anti-Stress Eye Lotion.

b. Face:

1. Apply Facial Cleanser and remove with warm pads.
2. Perform a second cleanse.
3. Apply Facial Lotion.

Note: No exfoliation is included in this facial.

2.  RS2 Concentrate Application

Apply 3/4 of the RS2 Ampoule to the face and neck. Pat into the skin gently until absorbed.

Note: No facial massage is performed.

(Decolletage massage may be done during the mask stage using the Micro-Emulsified Massage Cream.)

3.  Eye Treatment

1. Apply Évolutive Eye Mask around the eyes (¼ inch from lashes).
2. Cover with eye pads moistened with Anti-Stress Eye Lotion.
3. Option: Add an upgraded eye treatment.

4. Seaweed Application

1. Add a drop of cold water to the prepared Seaweed mixture and apply with a mask brush.
2. Wet gauze with cold water, apply over Seaweed, and smooth using the brush.

5. RS2 Thermal Lift – Off Mask

1. Mix 1 pouch of pink RS2 Mask Powder with 1/3 cup warm/hot water until creamy.
2. Apply thickly, covering the entire face up to the jawline. Leave for 15 minutes.
   (Client will feel alternating warm and cool sensations - up to 7 cycles.)
3. Remove by loosening at jawline and lifting upward in one piece.
4. Remove residue with Facial Lotion on cotton pads.

6. Final Application

1. Apply remaining RS2 Concentrate Ampoule and pat in gently until absorbed.
2. Finish with RS2 Skin Cream, apply to the fingertips and pat gently into the skin.

Follow-Up Treatment

Recommend returning for RS2 Rosacea Facial Treatment every 2–3 weeks to maintain long-term redness reduction and capillary support.

Therapist Tips and Best Practices

1. Avoid steam, heat, or vigorous massage, these can worsen rosacea.
2. Keep towels cool or room temperature.
3. Use gentle pressing motions, not friction or rubbing.
4. Avoid exfoliation, AHAs, BHAs, or abrasive scrubs during rosacea facials.

Home Care Recommendation

Recommend Pevonia RS2 Rosacea Home Care Line:  Cleanser, Lotion, Serum and Care Cream for daily use to maintain soothing, redness reduction, and barrier repair benefits.

Wean clients onto the home care programme slowly ie:  Week One: start with the Cleanser and Care Cream. Week Two: Add the Lotion.  Week Four: Add the Serum. This way the client can acclimatise and allow their pH to adjust slowly.
