Formulated with Lactic Acid, one of the most recognised and highly praised acids, L + Lactic Peel exfoliates by dissolving surface dead cells and in turn providing the skin a total renewing effect, while also moisturising and regulating pH balance.
Important :
This peel must be used with Neutralizing Gel 120ml
It is antimicrobial and most importantly serves as a skin lightener by suppressing the formation of tyrosinase (enzyme necessary for melanin production).
This peel provides the skin with a smoother texture, minimized wrinkles and lightened hyperpigmentation. Your complexion emerges wonderfully hydrated and youthfully restored with a radiant, healthy glow.
WHY L-LACTIC?
L-Lactic Acid stands alone as perhaps the most important molecule in every cell in the control of energy shifts to both make and disassemble proteins and enzymes.
Any exfoliation speeds up cell turnover rate. A unique advantage of L-Lactic Acid is that it is the critical molecule necessary for new collagen formation by fibroblast cells, and it is necessary to strengthen collagen to its final structural form by creating crosslinks between collagen amino acid chains.
Without L-Lactic Acid, there can be no wound healing or repair at the cellular level!
Recommended for all skin types including acneic with sensitive tendancies, as well as any skin with slightly sensitive tendencies. Especially recommended for hyperpigmented and dehydrated skin. No recommended for really sensitive skin. pH to 2.8.
1. Cleanse the skin thoroughly with Medicalia’s Gentle Cleanser and Gentle Toner. Blot dry.
2. Cover eyes with small eye pads moist with cool water. Pads should completely adhere to eyelids.
3. Soak a textured gauze pad with a small quantity of Medicalia’s Peel Prep Solution and rub vigorously on the skin, concentrating on areas of concern for a preparatory micro-abrasion and to enhance the surface exposure of the peel.
4. Pour one teaspoon (5ml) of Chosen Peel in a cup.
5. Using a cotton tip applicator, apply a thin layer evenly over face with medium pressure, especially on areas of concern. Lastly, apply on neck area if needed.
6. Allow product to set for 5- 15 minutes depending on peel selected, skin type, condition, and tolerance. Look for erythema (red flushing) to indicate end time. You may need to fan the treated areas if the patient experiences tingling or stinging sensations.
Monitor peel progress on the skin continuously. If deep erythema or frosting (blanching) develops, or if the patient feels too uncomfortable with the peel, rinse treated areas with cold or icy water and immediately follow with Neutralizing Gel.
7. When the peel’s time is up, rinse it off thoroughly using pads soaked in cold water.
8. Apply Neutralizing Gel all over treated skin. Using damp fingertips with cold water, work the gel gently all over the skin. Wait 2 minutes and then rinse the Neutralizing Gel thoroughly with cold water. Blot dry.
For best results and to speed up the peeling process, do not apply a moisturizer.
