Usage

This versatile stick foundation can be used in a multitude of ways, from sheer to full coverage, to contour and highlight, and to conceal imperfections.

AS A FOUNDATION BASE
1. Prep skin with ELES Retexturizing Face Primer 2. Lightly stroke foundation stick down centre of nose, cheeks, chin and forehead. 3. Blend into the skin with fingers or the ELES Pro-Blender Sponge.

CONTOUR:
1. Choose shade 1-2 shades deeper than your natural skin tone 2. Swipe under the cheekbones, along the sides of the nose, temples of the forehead and along the jawline 3. Blend with the ELES Tapered Detail Brush.

HIGHLIGHT:
1. Choose shade 1-2 shades lighter than your natural skin tone 2. Swipe along the tops of the cheekbones, bridge of the nose and chin 3. Blend with the ELES Tapered Detail Brush.

I genuinely really love the ELES Stick Foundation! It’s my new favourite and I have been wearing it all week. I find it hard finding the right shade when it comes to foundation, but the Almond Beige was the perfect fit for me!

This foundation stick truly delivers on full coverage, which is perfect for staying-power and concealing any imperfections. However, it can look a bit cakey if not applied over a hydrating sunscreen or primer. When used with a base, it glides on beautifully and has a smooth, long-lasting finish. I also appreciate the stick format, as it allows for targeted application with minimal waste.

Unfortunately, the shade I chose isn't quite right for my skin tone, and I was disappointed that Eles doesn't offer samples (I contacted both Eles directly and BC before purchasing without luck). For a product at this price point, the inability to test shades before buying is frustrating - and I’m sure many others also struggle with shade matching. Now, I’m left debating whether to purchase another shade and attempt to mix them or simply continue using this one as a contour. Overall, it’s a great product with a few drawbacks, especially when it comes to finding the perfect match.
